People who've attended hospital could score their hospital food out of ten and could post pictures and comments on the food. Some hospitals have made great improvements to their meals without increasing their budgets and it would introduce some healthy competition, hopefully resulting in better, tasty, nutritious and local food across the NHS
To track what people are eating and link this to their mood. By recording food eaten that day, time eaten and mood for the day. It could be possible to track reason for the food decisions that people make. If enough information is provided then you could use that as a basis to intervene when a bad choice is made and offer an alternative. In November 2009 I started using myfitnesspal.com, a free online food and exercise tracker with a helpful app for iPhones and Android phones. I have lost 3 stone in weight by setting my weekly target at a lb per week.

My idea for an application to tackle obesity and improve public education of a healthy diet is not novel but I feel the government / food industry could assist greatly in this area.
